FREE PALESTINE

demonlikejudgeoffire:

motaz saying in his video (x) that he can no longer share aerial footage of the destruction because Israel killed his friend who operated the drone camera—because they killed all of the journalists who had drones and stole their drones—is so utterly gut wrenching.

he’s tired. he looks exhausted. but still he talks about rebuilding when the war ends, even if it will take years to recover from the devastation. what I’m trying to say is that we cannot lose hope for an end to this destruction

wearenotjustnumbers2:

Translation:

The Palestinian Ministry of Health released yesterday that there are only 6 operating ambulances left in Gaza. Serving 2.3 Million people who live under the constant threat of death and injury.

What does this mean? This means that the likelihood of death is far greater than the likelihood of life for anyone injured. So now, We can certainly say that Gaza has become a place for inevitable and imperative death, not just a “war zone”.

also if you are wondering whether all these awful things coming out of gaza are true or if things are really as bad as they are there i can promise you they’re worse. for every graphic image you see and for every story that gets translated for english speakers there are thousands of people who weren’t photographed, who refused to have their loved ones photographed, who are too traumatized to speak, who don’t want attention. if you know a single palestinian you already know at least three or four additional horror stories that have received no coverage at all. a small example i can give you is that a fertility clinic in egypt received a phone call from gaza asking to terminate frozen embryos of a palestinian couple who had undergone ivf there. the call was from a stranger because everyone in that family, up to their fifth degree relatives, had been killed.

[ID: 4 photos by Hamza Wael Al-Dahdouh.

1: A missile falling directly towards the roof of a residential building. In the foreground is another roof with a water tank, satellite receiver, and clothes hanging on a clothesline.

2: The same building with fire exploding out of its windows. The outside of the building still appears intact but the bomb is blowing it out from the inside.

3: The building is barely visible behind large clouds of smoke and fire.

4: A huge cloud of smoke with rubble flying through the air.

The clothesline, satellite receiver, and water tank are in the foreground of all the photos and appear undamaged.

5: The instagram caption, @.hamza_w_dahdooh: Moments before souls and dreams die …

Hamza was assassinated today (7 Jan 24) along with his colleague Mustafa Thuraya. I’ve used his incredible photos above several times to illustrate what an IOF missile strike looks like, and I’m forever thankful to Hamza for this education resource. Palestinian journalists keep working tirelessly to document their own genocide because they know that their words and images are powerful tools to fight the occupation. The occupation assassinates journalists because they also understand the power of journalism. We all have a responsibility to keep sharing Palestinian journalism until it’s no longer dangerous to be a Palestinian journalist — ie until the genocidal occupying entity is destroyed. The more they try to silence us the louder we will be. In honor of Hamza I want to invite you all to share and talk about these photos (or something else from his ig) with someone in your personal life this week, and make sure they understand that this young man was deliberately assassinated by his oppressors because their genocidal occupation is threatened by his talent and commitment.

from Bisan, who said we should share this as much as possible, 06/Jan/2024:

“This is a warning about pushing people in Gaza to emigrate by intimidating people and making them choose between staying and dying or leaving and living!”

CALL FOR A CEASEFIRE. CALL FOR AN END TO THE GENOCIDE.

i can’t even begin to imagine how wael al-dahdouh feels this is worse than death this is the most painful fate imaginable!! just watching all his family and loved ones die one after another how can they be so cruel?!!

And his words after all this were:

“My biggest hope is to for Allah to be pleased with me and to grant me more strength and patience. This is the difference between us and our enemies. We embrace the beauty of the human spirit, and they embrace the feelings of murderous hate and evil bitterness. I will cry and mourn and then I will go back to do my humanitarian work. The whole world needs to know about the atrocities happing in Gaza, including the murder of journalists”.

This is only a short summary of his speech. It deserves to be translated in full.

tamarrud:

Children saying “I’d rather be dead” is not normal. Children crying “is this a dream?” is not normal. Children wondering “am I being taken to the cemetery?” is not normal.

We can all reckon the lasting psychological effects of this genocide on these children, but also remember that to many of the children of Gaza, this is the second, third, or even fourth Israeli aggression they had to live through.

Almost 50% of Gaza’s population are children, over 10,000 of which have been murdered by Israel since October of this year.

tamarrud:

Anyway I also want to point out to the Zionists in my inbox who really think they can intimidate me (while on anon lol)

I’ve had your disgusting iof point rifles at me multiple times. I’ve had them yell at and shove me. I’ve had them take away things we were carrying just because they wanted to frustrate us. I’ve had them force me to stand under the scorching sun for hours and for no particular reason other than to just be evil. I’ve had your unhinged settlers try to provoke me.

And I’m still here.

You lot are faaaaaaaaaar from ever being able to intimidate me. I’m here to share fact after fact about Israel’s crimes and you losers are clearly mad about it. Try harder. بالي طويييييييييييييييل
